The point
The failure is ownership, not tooling.
Scene 1 of 6
Four sources, three schedulers, nobody owns the join
A representative mid-size stack before GeneFlow. Each feed has an owner and a schedule. The join that the finance dashboard actually reads has neither.
Who runs what
Every feed is healthy on its own. The join is where the pager goes off.
| Source | Scheduler | Owner | Runs |
|---|---|---|---|
| orders (Postgres) | cron on a VM | Platform team | 02:00 nightly |
| accounts (CRM export) | vendor UI schedule | RevOps | 03:15 nightly |
| invoices (billing API) | Airflow | Finance engineering | hourly |
| sessions (web analytics) | Airflow | Marketing ops | 06:00 nightly |
| orders ⨝ accounts ⨝ invoices | whoever refreshes it | unowned | when the dashboard is stale |

The one table leadership reads
Each team tuned its own feed. None of them can say whether the join ran against last night's accounts or the night before. Adding a fourth scheduler would not change that.
